Fifth Grade

5th Grade Supply List - 2016-2017

  • 1, 1 ½ to 2 inch, three ring notebook with pockets on the inside covers (Trapper Keeper type notebooks are too bulky for our desk)*
  • 1 blue (writing) and 1 yellow (Music) pocket folder with prongs – plastic is best
  • 5 Marbled Composition journals - not spiral
  • 8-10 tabbed dividers (we will write on them in class)*
  • 2 packs of notebook paper*
  • Pens - Red pens and either blue or black
  • 2-4 packs of Pencils
  • 1-2 highlighters
  • 2 Sharpie Markers
  • Eraser tops
  • Crayons
  • Markers – regular and thin set of Crayola markers
  • Glue – 1-2 Elmer’s bottle and 1-2 Elmer’s stick (make sure it is Elmer’s brand)
  • Scissors – adult size is better for 5th grade hands
  • School Box – must fit in desk (I don’t recommend the lockable type, keys get lost)
  • One box of hole reinforcements (these are white circle stickers that go over torn holes on paper)
  • Zippered, three holed punch pouch (this will go in the notebook)*
  • Clear or mesh bookbag
  • Thumb drive - this will stay at school
  • A wired mouse or wireless mouse (you will need to supply batteries if wireless) – this will stay at school
  • A pair of headphones – these will stay at school
  • A pair of flip flops – these will stay at school
  • Studies Weekly Subscription, TIMA Student Agenda, and Storyworks Common Core Reader Subscription – you will receive more information on these items at the beginning of the year. There is a fee for each of these items.

* We will set up our notebooks and folders in class. Please don’t do this before school starts.

Students will not need: a compass or a protractor
