Volunteer Opportunities

If you would like to volunteer at TIMA , please complete the simple registration and application process by clicking below. All TIMA Volunteers must be approved by VISTA and are asked to log their hours.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at TIMA! Parent participation is critical to the success of TIMA, and there are a wide variety of opportunities to get involved with the school, depending on your interests, talents, and schedule. As part of our Family-Educator Partnership commitment, we ask each family to contribute at least four volunteer hours per month.

All volunteers shall be screened through a sex offender registry check or a criminal history background check. Background screenings will be conducted once every three years for those who wish to remain an active volunteer. During the application process, the applicant will be required to list all volunteer duties he/she seeks to provide, which will determine the level at which the individual will be screened. All screenings are completed through the secure Volunteer Tracker portal.

A Message from the Family Engagement Team:

Greetings TIMA families,

The summer has flown by and with only a few days left to enjoy the blessings of summertime bliss, we’re quickly preparing ourselves for a new and exciting school year. TIMA is always looking for opportunities for our parents and families to engage with one another, with our teachers, staff and the community around us. It’s been a while since we had a structured outlet for such engagement, which is why we will be starting a “Family Engagement Organization” this upcoming school year. We are asking our parents and families to join us in creating a long lasting, multi-generational legacy. We have much to offer one another, our talents and interests are all different, by coming together, getting involved, asking questions, engaging in our plug-ins, we can continue to build on the values that make our charter school so successful. We value your input and participation; you will find in the coming weeks and months more opportunities to connect. Whether you prefer leading a committee, fundraising, party planning, engaging with community leaders, being a room parent or maybe you prefer a more “behind the scenes” creating and collaborating or even volunteering for lunch duty; as you can see there’s an outlet for everyone. We encourage you to plug-in where you can, connect with other parents and families, be a part of the conversation and collaboration. We look forward to meeting new families, seeing old faces and trying new things.

Let the good times roll,

Laci Martin and Kenlea Wall
