We have such deep dedication from our community so we are looking for your help to grow our Maritime Fund. For the 2023-24 school year we have set a goal of $150,000 to offset being the only charter school in the Savannah area that offers transportation and to help elevate our facilities fund to allow our spaces to keep pace with our students’ needs.
Our Maritime Fund supports every aspect of school at TIMA, from sports to projects to professional needs for teachers. With your generous support, we can continue to deliver high-quality education and meet the needs of our students effectively.
Together, let’s build a brighter future for the young minds of our community. Your contribution, big or small, will make a significant impact, and we truly appreciate your willingness to be part of our journey. Thank you for your consideration and belief in our mission.
TIMA is a tuition-free, STEAM-certified, K – 8 public charter school deeply connected to the local community and economy. However, our independent governance comes with a price. While we are able to have a creative and flexible maritime curriculum that bolsters academic achievement in our students, we receive less government funding per student than a traditional public school and NO funding for transportation or capital improvements. We rely on private funding on an annual basis to completely fund the critical needs of our students, faculty and staff, and facilities.
Giving to this campaign is a way to show your strong support for our mission. Additionally, it helps us to cultivate large donors to donate to our school. Gifts of all sizes add up to make a large impact on our school as we approach our 10th year!
You can either make a one-time gift or give over time (now through June) during our fiscal year to complete your gift.
- To give online, please use this link.
- You can also pay by check payable to Tybee Island Maritime Academy, PO Box 1519, Tybee Island, GA 31328.

Thank you in advance for believing in our school and community!
